Homemade Vegetable Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. short ribs, stew beef or soup bone
  • 1 can whole tomatoes
  • 1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 small head cabbage, chopped
  • 1/2 c. macaroni
  • 2 small white potatoes, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 small can tomato juice

Directions

    Cook beef separately until well done, seasoned to taste with salt and pepper.

    Using the broth from the beef, add vegetables, cabbage, macaroni and potatoes.

    Cook slowly until all ingredients are well done.

    Then add tomato juice for color.

    Increase ingredients according to size of family.
