- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/4 cups yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup honey
Directions

1Heat oven to 400 degrees.

2Grease an 8x8 baking pan

3Beat milk, butter and egg in a large blow.

4Stir in remaining ingredients (except honey), batter will be lumpy.

5Pour batter into pan.

6Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

7Remove from oven and immediately spread honey on top

8Cool and serve.
