Ingredients

  • 8 c. old-fashioned rolled oats (uncooked)
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 c. wheat germ (toasted or untoasted)
  • 3 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 c. honey or 2/3 c. honey plus 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 2/3 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • raisins, dates and nuts (optional)

Directions

    Combine oats, coconut, wheat germ and cinnamon in a large bowl. Combine honey, vegetable oil and vanilla with a wire whisk, then stir into dry ingredients.

    Spread in greased large, shallow baking pan.

    Bake at 350° for 25 minutes, stirring often.

    Cool thoroughly, stirring occasionally.

    Add optional ingredients as desired.

    Store in cool dry place.
