  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 2 (10 oz.) pkg. black-eyed peas
  • 1/2 c. rice
  • 2 c. water
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Dice bacon; add onion and fry over medium heat until bacon is almost crisp and onions are clear.
