- 1 (No. 300) can field peas with snaps
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- dash of cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp. margarine or bacon drippings
- 2 c. hot cooked rice
Directions

1Do not drain peas.

2Bring peas and seasoning to a boil.

3Stir gently.

4Simmer on low heat 15 minutes.

5Serve peas and broth over hot buttered rice.

6If possible, prepare peas an hour or so before mealtime, then reheat when ready to serve.
