- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. half and half or milk
- 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 3/4 tsp. sugar
Directions

1Cook peas according to package directions; drain.

2Saute onion in butter; blend in flour.

3Gradually add half and half or milk, stirring constantly.

4Cook until thickened.

5Add remaining ingredients; mix lightly.

6Heat thoroughly, stirring occasionally. Serves 6 to 8.
