- 4 slices bacon
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 1/2 c. (1 lb.) cut green beans, drained
- 1 1/2 c. cut wax beans
- 1 1/2 c. red kidney beans
Directions

1In 2-quart casserole, arrange bacon in a single layer.

2Cover with paper towel and cook 2 1/2 minutes.

3Remove towel and bacon, leaving drippings.

4Add sugar, cornstarch, salt and pepper; blend well.

5Stir in vinegar and remaining ingredients.

6Cook, covered, 10 minutes, or until sauce has boiled or thickened slightly, stirring occasionally.

7Crumble bacon over top.

8Serves 8 to 10.
