Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 7/8 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. pitted cherries

Directions

    Put all ingredients in bowl except eggs; beat at low speed until mixed (a thick batter); last add eggs and mix well.

    Fold in fresh cherries.

    (Also good made with fresh peaches, black raspberries, blackberries or blueberries).

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

    Serve warm with milk or cream.
