Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. minced onion
  • 1 c. finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 c. finely chopped green onion
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 3 c. crab meat (fresh)
  • 3 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 c. sherry
  • 2 to 3 drops garlic juice
  • seasoned salt to taste

Directions

    Saute chopped vegetables in butter.

    Combine all other ingredients, except crab meat, in double boiler.

    Heat until smooth, stirring often.

    Add crab meat and sauteed vegetables. Blend and pour into casserole dish.

    Bake at 375° for 20 minutes. Serve hot with favorite crackers.

    Can be used in chafing dish. Also, can be made ahead and baked when ready to use.

    Add a few minutes to baking time for cold casserole.
