Hot Cranberry Compote

- 3 c. chopped apples
- 2 c. fresh cranberries (1 pkg.)
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/3 c. quick cooking oats
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. butter, melted
Directions

1Combine apples, cranberries and lemon juice; toss well.

2Pour into lightly greased, shallow 2-quart casserole dish.

3Sprinkle sugar evenly over fruit.

4Combine remaining ingredients in bowl and sprinkle over top of fruit.

5Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 hour.

6Can be dessert or side dish at meal.
