Hot Curried Fruit

Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. butter
  • 3/4 c. dark brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. curry powder
  • 1 large can pear halves (28 oz.)
  • 1 large can apricot halves (28 oz.)
  • red and green cherries (can also use regular pitted cherries, purple canned plums and walnut pieces)

Directions

    Melt butter and sugar. Add curry powder.

    (If you like a thick sauce, add 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch.)

    Drain fruit and place in a large flat casserole.

    Decorate with green and red cherries, if desired.

    Add melted curry sauce. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Serves 6.
