- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. fat-free milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 3 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
- 1 1/2 c. boiling water or very hot
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup and level with knife.

3Combine first 5 ingredients in medium bowl.

4Stir in milk and vanilla extract.

5Spoon batter into 9-inch square baking pan.

6Combine brown sugar and 3 tablespoons cocoa. Sprinkle over cake batter.

7Pour hot water over batter but do not stir.

8Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched in center.

9Yields 12 servings.
