  • 1 (16 oz.) can green beans
  • 3 slices bacon
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper

Directions

    Drain beans and save 1/2 cup liquid.

    Cook bacon until crisp; remove bacon pieces.

    Cook onion in bacon fat until tender.

    Add remaining ingredients and 1/2 cup liquid from beans.

    Heat slowly to blend flavors.
