- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- buttermilk
- 1/4 c. Crisco
Directions

1Sift flour and sugar into bowl.

2Make well in flour.

3Combine 1/4 cup of warm water and dry yeast; dissolve well.

4Fill to 1 cup with buttermilk.

5Add Crisco.

6Pour into flour well and mix. Make 8 biscuits.

7Turn over on buttered cookie sheet.

8Let rise 1 hour.

9Bake at 450°.
