- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. milk
- 3/4 c. butter flavor Crisco
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 7 to 8 c. flour
Directions

1Put 1 tablespoon sugar in 1/2 cup very warm water, stir to dissolve.

2Add yeast and let set.

3Scald milk, add Crisco, sugar, salt and water.

4When warm add beaten eggs.

5Mix well.

6Add 2 cups flour and mix well, add yeast mixture and beat well.

7Add enough flour to make a soft, pliable dough.

8Knead well until not sticky. Grease sides and bottom of large bowl, turn dough in bowl to grease top.

9Cover and let rise until double.

10Punch down and let rise again.

11Break into rolls and let rise until double.

12Bake in 350° oven for 35 minutes.

13Butter tops when done.
