- 1 qt. milk
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 1 scant c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 Tbsp. dry yeast
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 3 tsp. salt
- 10 c. flour
Directions

1Scald milk and pour over sugar and shortening.

2Add mashed potatoes and when all has cooled to lukewarm, add yeast, which has been dissolved in warm milk.

3Add 5 cups flour.

4Let rise until double in bulk (about 2 hours).

5Then add salt, soda and baking powder to remaining flour and make a light dough.

6Grease large bowl and put dough in it.

7Put in refrigerator.

8When ready to use, roll into your favorite shapes and allow to rise in warm room. Bake at 425° to 450° for 15 to 20 minutes.
