Hot Spicy Chili

  • 3 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped or minced
  • 1 big jar hot picante sauce (chunky, if desired)
  • 1 to 2 c. ketchup
  • 1 c. water
  • 6 Tbsp. chili powder

Directions

    Brown beef; drain grease.

    Add onion and saute.

    Next, add chili powder; stir well.

    Add picante sauce, ketchup and water. Bring to a boil, then let it simmer 30 minutes on low heat.

    You can cover pot, but make sure pot is large enough to hold all ingredients.

    Can be served with rice.

    Leftover pinto beans are good to add to make hot chili beans.
