- 3 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped or minced
- 1 big jar hot picante sauce (chunky, if desired)
- 1 to 2 c. ketchup
- 1 c. water
- 6 Tbsp. chili powder
Directions

1Brown beef; drain grease.

2Add onion and saute.

3Next, add chili powder; stir well.

4Add picante sauce, ketchup and water. Bring to a boil, then let it simmer 30 minutes on low heat.

5You can cover pot, but make sure pot is large enough to hold all ingredients.

6Can be served with rice.

7Leftover pinto beans are good to add to make hot chili beans.
