Ingredients

  • 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk or half and half
  • 1/2 c. liquid from spinach
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 3/4 tsp. celery salt
  • 3/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 6 oz. roll jalapeno cheese spread
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions

    Cook spinach as directed; drain, saving 1/2 cup of the liquid. Melt butter.

    Add flour; stir well.

    Add onion and cook until soft.

    Add milk and spinach liquid; add seasoning and cheese. Cook until cheese is melted.

    Add spinach and blend well.

    Put in a greased 9 x 13-inch casserole and heat until hot throughout and starts to brown around edges.

    This dish can be made ahead of time and heated when ready to serve.
