  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup chopped tomato
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 1/2 cups frozen cut green beans

Directions

    Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium heat until hot. Add onions, celery and garlic. Cook and stir 5 minutes or until onions are translucent.

    Add remaining ingredients except green beans. Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes or until green beans are just tender.
