  • 1 1/4 c. cornmeal
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • shortening for frying

Directions

    Stir in the meal, let cool until you can handle it; shape into patties and brown in skillet with at least 1 inch deep.

    Cook until golden brown, drain on paper towel. Serve hot.
