- 2 Tbsp. sesame seed
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil, divided
- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley (optional)
Directions

1Toast sesame seed in small skillet over low heat.

2In a blender, puree sesame seed, garlic, salt, pepper and 1/4 cup oil until smooth.

3Add chickpeas alternately with lemon juice and remaining oil.

4Stir in parsley, if desired.

5Makes 2 cups.

6Serve with toasted pita bread triangles.
