- 6 c. milk
- 6 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. milk
- 6 eggs, beaten
- 2 c. white sugar
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar (more if desired)
- 3 c. or more cream
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
Directions

1Heat milk.

2Put together cornstarch and salt with 2 cups milk. Add to hot milk; stir until slightly thick, but do not boil! Pour hot milk over the beaten eggs and sugar; cool.

3When ready to freeze, add cream and vanilla.

4Pour into freezer through a sieve. Add more milk if it isn't 3/4 full.

5Makes 1 1/2 gallons.
