  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. nuts

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Beat well.

    Add sifted dry ingredients and nuts.

    Mold in long rolls.

    Refrigerate.

    Slice when chilled.

    Place on cookie sheet.

    Bake for 8 or 10 minutes at 425°.
