  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 c. light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. nuts, chopped

Directions

    Thoroughly cream butter and sugar.

    Add eggs and vanilla and beat.

    Sift dry ingredients 3 times.

    Add to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts.

    Shape dough into rolls.

    Wrap in wax paper and chill overnight.

    Slice thinly and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes.

    Makes 4 dozen.
