  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. nuts (ground pecans)

Directions

    Heat oven to 325°.

    Cream together eggs, margarine and sugars; sift together flour, soda and cream of tartar.

    Mix into cream mixture.

    Form into rolls (logs).

    Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate.

    Slice and bake in a moderate oven for 10 to 12 minutes.

    Bake on lightly greased pan.
