- 1 c. Crisco
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 qt. buttermilk
- 2 c. Bran Buds
- 2 c. boiling water
- 5 c. flour
- 5 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 c. bran flakes
- 1/2 lb. raisins (optional)
Directions

1Pour boiling water over Bran Buds and let stand.

2Mix Crisco, sugar, eggs, buttermilk and soaked Bran Buds.

3Mix well.

4Then stir in bran flakes and raisins.

5Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture.

6Stir well.

7Store in refrigerator to be used as needed. Can be stored for 6 weeks.

8Bake muffins for 25 minutes at 350°.
