Ingredients

  • 1 c. mashed Irish potatoes or mashed instant potatoes
  • 1 c. lard
  • 1 c. scalded milk
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 yeast cake, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, beaten lightly

Directions

    Mix ingredients.

    Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. Put in greased bowl.

    Put in icebox.
  4. 4
    Will keep for several days. Make out rolls and set in warm place about 2 hours before baking. Will rise to about double in size.

    Bake in hot oven.
