- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cakes compressed yeast
- 1 c. cold water
- 6 c. unsifted flour
Directions

1Pour boiling water over shortening.

2Add sugar and salt; cool. Add eggs. Soak yeast in cold water 5 minutes and add to mixture. Add flour and blend well.

3Set in refrigerator.

4Make into rolls by pinching small bits of dough and rolling into a ball, 3 to each muffin tin for cloverleaf.

5Let raise 1 to 2 hours before baking. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
