Ingredients

  • 8 c. flour
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 c. lukewarm water

Directions

    Add 1/2 cup sugar, salt and shortening to hot water.

    Let cool. Dissolve yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar in warm water.

    Add to hot water mixture.

    Beat eggs.

    Add to hot water mixture.

    Add 4 cups flour and mix well.

    Add other 4 cups flour, mix well again.

    Place in well-greased bowl; cover with wax paper and damp cloth.

    Place in refrigerator until mixture rises or until ready to use.

    Work down; make into rolls and bake.

    Mixture will keep in refrigerator for several days.
