Ingredients
- 1/4 c. plus 1 Tbsp. shortening or lard
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 3 c. flour
Directions

1Combine lard, sugar, salt and milk in saucepan; warm to melt lard.

2Cool to lukewarm and beat in egg.

3Dissolve yeast in warm water

4and add to milk mixture.

5Add flour a cup at a time, beating

6after each addition.

7Do all this in a covered casserole dish.

8Grease top of dough ball and cover. Store in refrigerator overnight. Make into clover leaf rolls by making 1-inch
-
9balls and putting 3 in each greased muffin tin.

10Cover and let rise about an hour.
-
11Bake at 350° for about 15 minutes or until done. Makes 1 1/2 to 2 dozen rolls.
