- 1 1/2 Tbsp. shortening
- 4 large tomatoes
- 1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- 1 1/2 tsp. curry powder
- 3 medium onions
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 lb. chicken thighs
- pinches of oregano, chili powder, ginger and black pepper
Directions

1Mince onions and garlic and fry in large sauce pan until brown.

2Add turmeric, curry, salt, chili powder, oregano, ginger and pepper.

3Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes.

4Add chicken and fry for 5 - 10 minutes.

5Add 1 cup of warm water, cover and cook for 1 1/2 hours.
