Indian Love Squash

Ingredients
- 2 medium acorn squash
- 1 (12 oz.) dry ginger ale
- 4 tsp. butter or oleo
- 1 tsp. fine herbs (thyme, oregano, sage, rosemary, marjoram and basil)
Directions

1Scrub squash and cut in half lengthwise.

2Remove seeds and stringy portion.

3Pour ginger ale into large skillet.

4Add squash, cut side down.

5Cover pan and steam over medium heat 10 minutes. Arrange squash, cut side up, in shallow baking dish.

6Sprinkle each squash with salt and pepper.

7To each half, add a teaspoon butter and sprinkle with herbs.

8Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, occasionally brushing with butter (both inside and outside of squash).

9Makes 4 servings.
