- 1 c. uncooked long grain rice
- 1 (13 3/4 oz.) can chicken broth
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- 1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
- 1/4 c. frozen green peas
- 1/4 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. cashews, chopped

1In a medium saucepan, melt butter or margarine over medium heat. Add onion, ginger, cumin, coriander, cinnamon and red pepper flakes. Cook, stirring 3 minutes.
