- 4 c. milk
- 1/3 c. corn meal
- 3/4 c. dark molasses
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 scant tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 well beaten egg
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Boil in top of double boiler the milk.

2Stir in corn meal. Cook 15 minutes, stirring often.

3Stir in dark molasses; cook 5 more minutes.

4Remove from heat; stir in butter, salt, ginger, sugar, egg, raisins and cinnamon.

5Pour into greased baking dish. Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 325°.

6Serve with vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.
