- 1 qt. milk
- 3/4 c. maple syrup
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2/3 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 1/2 c. dark seedless raisins
Directions

1Heat oven to 300°.

2Grease shallow 2-quart casserole.

3In a 2-quart saucepan, combine 3 cups milk and syrup; heat just to boiling over medium heat.

4Add butter.

5In small bowl, combine cornmeal, ginger and nutmeg.

6Gradually stir into hot milk in saucepan.

7Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring, until thickened (about 10 minutes).

8Stir in raisins and spoon into casserole dish.

9Pour in remaining milk; do not stir.
-
10Bake for 2 1/2 hours, until milk is absorbed and top is golden brown.
