- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/4 c. Crisco oil
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 3 c. self-rising flour
- butter or margarine
Directions

1Mix yeast in warm water until dissolved.

2Add sugar, buttermilk and Crisco oil to yeast.

3Add flour and knead a few times.

4Roll out on floured board; cut with biscuit cutter.

5Put small amount of butter or margarine on each roll and fold in half. Put in a greased pan.

6Let rise for 2 hours in a warm place. Bake in a preheated oven at 425°, until brown.
