  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onions chopped
  • salt
  • 1 cup minute rice
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 dash black pepper
  • 1 dash cayenne pepper

Directions

    Chop head of cabbage and place in large casserole. In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onion; drain fat. Remove from heat and add rice; spoon mixture evenly overcabbage. Sprinkle with garlic powder, oregano, black pepper and salt to taste. In a small bowl, combine tomato sauce and water; pour over casserole.

    Sprinkle cayenne pepper over top and bake at 350 degrees covered for 1/2 hour.

    Uncover and bake an additional 1/2 hour or until cabbage is tender.
