  • 9/16 cup self raising flour wholemeal
  • 1/2 cup self raising flour white
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup currants
  • 2 ounces margarine melted
  • 1 salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon seeds carroway
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup buttermilk

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350F, prepare pans. Mix flours, salt, sugar & baking soda.

    Stir in seeds & currants. Beat egg, margarine & buttermilk. Mix dry mix into wet mix until just combined. Spoon into pans & bake for 15-20 mins.
