- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. caraway seed
- 1/2 box raisins
- 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 2/3 c. milk
- 1/4 lb. butter or margarine, melted
Directions

1Grease and flour tube pan.

2Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.

3Make a well in center and add milk and melted butter.

4Mix lightly with wooden spoon.

5Knead lightly.

6Mixture should be slack, not wet.

7Fold in raisins.

8Place in prepared pan and bake 1 1/2 hours at 350°.

9After removing cake from pan, wet it lightly with cold water.
