- 4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. raisins
- 2 Tbsp. caraway seed
Directions

1Mix together flour, salt and baking soda.

2Add butter or margarine; cut into flour to make fine crumbs.

3Add raisins and caraway seed.

4Make a well in the center and add buttermilk.

5Mix to make a soft dough.

6Turn out on a floured board and knead for 1 minute.

7Pat or roll out to a circle 1 1/2-inches thick.

8Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.

9Make a deep cross in center with a floured knife.

10Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 425°.
