- 1 (6 lb.) rump roast
- dash of oregano
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 Tbsp. white vinegar
- 2 tsp. caraway seed
- 2 medium onions, sliced thin
- 1 clove garlic (whole)
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Salt and pepper roast.

2Put in a Dutch oven.

3Add all ingredients on top of roast.

4Cover; put on low heat on top of stove.

5Cook for 3 hours, turning meat periodically.

6After 3 hours, remove meat and place on platter.

7To the sauce, add 4 sliced green peppers and 3 cups water; simmer 1/2 hour.

8Slice meat then for sandwiches and pour sauce over meat.
