- 1 (3 lb.) boneless beef round rump roast
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
- 1/2 c. water
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 3 green sweet peppers, seeded and cut in strips
- 8 hoagie buns, split
Directions

1Place roast, fat side up, on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Roast, uncovered, in a 325° oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or to 145°. Transfer roast to a platter.

2Skim fat from the pan juices. Transfer juices to a covered container; chill.

3Cool roast for 30 minutes.

4Cover and chill.

5Using a sharp knife, thinly slice the chilled roast across the grain.
