  • 4 tsp. yeast
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 3/4 c. warm water
  • 4 1/4 Tbsp. olive oil or margarine
  • 6 c. bread flour
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg white

Directions

    Proof the yeast with the water, then add sugar and oil or margarine.

    Add salt to flour and gradually add flour.

    Knead dough and shape it into 2 loaves; let it rise until its size is doubled.

    Brush with egg white before baking for 30 minutes in 375° oven.

    Makes 2 loaves.
