  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. malt syrup or sugar
  • 1/3 c. nonfat milk
  • 2 1/2 c. cold water (70 to 75~)
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. cool water
  • 6 c. hard wheat bread flour, or a little more
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil

Directions

    In a small bowl, mix the salt, malt syrup, milk and 2 1/2 cups of water.

    Stir to dissolve the malt which is heavy and thick and set aside.
