  • 1 loaf bread
  • 1/2 liter olive oil
  • 1 pinch dried basilicum
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp general Italian herbs
  • 1 1/2 kg tomatoes

    mix all the herbs in a bowl with the oil.

    after half an hour, preheat the oven to 200C.

    take the oliveoil and smear out on thick slices of bread.

    when ready, put in oven for 10 min or until crispy, it really depends on the oven.

    while the bread it in the oven, slice tomatoes.

    when the bread is done and crispy, rub the tomatoes over the bread, really try to sqeeuze the juice into the bread.

    put the bread in the oven once again, same temperature, for 5 minutes.

    cut the used tomatoes and the unused ones in little pieces and put in a bowl.

    add a little vinegar of choice and pepper and salt to your taste.

    put the tomatos on the still warm bread and serve warm.

    a little warning, depending on the bread, it can be very crispy, so its not fit for people with aching gums :)
