Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 c. noodles, cooked and drained

Directions

    Heat oven to 350°.

    Brown meat and drain.

    Add onion and cook until tender.

    Add tomato paste, water, salt and pepper.

    Simmer 5 minutes.

    Heat milk and cream cheese over low heat, stirring until smooth.

    Stir in 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, green pepper, garlic salt and noodles.

    In 1 1/2-quart casserole, layer half of noodle mixture and meat sauce.

    Repeat layers.

    Bake for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese when serving.
