- 1/2 lb. scallops
- 1 c. melted butter
- 1/2 c. olive oil
- 4 to 5 cloves crushed garlic
- bread crumbs
- oil for frying
Directions

1Combine olive oil, butter and garlic.

2Coat scallops with mixture and let marinate 1 to 4 hours at room temperature.

3In a large skillet, heat 1 inch of oil to 350°.

4Bread scallops and fry in oil, about 2 minutes on each side.

5Place on paper towels. Serve with lemon wedges and cocktail sauce for dipping.

6Use as main course or an appetizer.
