- 1 loaf French Bread
- Butter, To Spread On Bread
- 1 pound Italian Sausage
- 1 pound Zucchini
- 6 ounces, weight Onion
- 1 can (14.5 Oz. Size) Diced Tomatoes And Green Chilies
- 1/4 teaspoons Each Of Oregano, Garlic Salt, Sugar, Basil And Pepper
- 4 Tablespoons Italian Bread Crumbs
Directions

1Slice French bread and spread with butter.

2Wrap in foil and put in the oven at 350 degrees F until toasted.

3Slice sausage, remove casing and brown in a skillet.

4Slice zucchini and onions.

5Remove sausage and drain on paper towels.

6Brown zucchini and onions in the sausage drippings.

7Add tomatoes and green chilies, oregano, garlic salt, sugar, basil and pepper.

8Stir to mix.

9Sprinkle Italian bread crumbs on top of the zucchini mixture.

10Arrange sausage on top of the bread crumbs.

11Cover and cook 10 minutes until zucchini is tender.

12Serve with hot bread.
