- 2 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 1/2 lb. Italian sausage
- 1 medium onion
- 1 1/2 to 2 carrots
- 1 celery stalk
- 1 large (16 oz.) can tomato puree
- 1 garlic clove
- 3/4 c. fresh parsley
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1 bay leaf
Directions

1Chop onion, carrots and celery fine.

2Crumble sausage and ground chuck together and brown.

3Add onion, carrots and celery. Make a place in center of meat to put chopped garlic to allow to fry in grease.

4Drain grease off meat.

5Pour into slow cooker.

6Add parsley, oregano, basil, bay leaf and tomato puree.

7Add about 1/2 soup can of water.
-
8Simmer 2 to 4 hours.
