- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 2 envelopes (1 1/2 oz.) Italian spaghetti sauce mix with mushrooms
- 3 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed or 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cans (12 oz.) tomato paste
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. oregano leaves
Directions

1Cook and stir ground beef, onion and pepper until meat is brown and onion is tender.

3Cover; simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally, or cook in crock-pot 4 to 5 hours.
