  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 envelopes (1 1/2 oz.) Italian spaghetti sauce mix with mushrooms
  • 3 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed or 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cans (12 oz.) tomato paste
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. oregano leaves

Directions

    Cook and stir ground beef, onion and pepper until meat is brown and onion is tender.

    Stir in remaining ingredients.

    Cover; simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally, or cook in crock-pot 4 to 5 hours.
